There are so many benefits to living in the greater San Antonio area. From the easy access it offers to theme parks, professional sports, concerts, plays, museums, dining and art to the healthy economy and job market it affords, San Antonio is unparalleled in opportunities.
The region is also second to none when it comes to shopping. With everything from big box stores to malls and outlets, there’s a little something for everyone – and every price range.
Here are a few of the area’s hottest spots for shopping:
The Forum at Olympia Parkway
With acres upon acres of shops, stores and boutiques, The Forum at Olympia Parkway is one of the biggest shopping centers in the entire Lone Star State. Not only is it home to big name stores like Kohl’s Target, Ross, Old Navy and Bed, Bath & Beyond, but it also offers a whole other slew of services, restaurants and specialty stores. There are banks, tire shops, places to paint and do crafts, a UPS store, several nail and hair salons, day spas, dentists, medical professionals, physical therapists, and dozens of restaurants. Some of the top dining spots in The Forum include Panera Bread, Red Robin, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Genghis Grill and Chili’s.
For bargains on traditional mall stores like Old Navy, Journey’s, Lids, Levi’s, H&M, Forever 21, Claire’s, Aldo, Fossil, Adidas and more. There are also name-brand stores like Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie and Calvin Klein, and more than a dozen food places, including Outback Steakhouse, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Cracker Barrel. Grab lunch or dinner or just take a break for a cup of coffee. The mall even offers free wi-fi throughout the entire location.
San Marcos Premium Outlets
For more high-end purchases like Coach, Gucci, Tory Burch, Armani, Banana Republic, DKNY and Dooney & Bourke, you’ll want to head down the road to the San Marcos Premium Outlets. The mall also boasts more traditional stores, including Gap, Converse, Guess, J. Crew and more, as well as lots of restaurants. Johnny Rockets, Branding Iron BBQ, Subway and Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen are some of its most popular. A bonus? The San Marcos outlets are just down the road from the Guadalupe, so they’re perfect for stopping off for a new bathing suit, towel or even just a few snacks before a day of floating the river.
